Technological and Applied Studies (TAS)

The curriculum is diverse as it covers many subject areas appealing to a wide range of students. All subjects provide students with skills and knowledge, which will prove invaluable throughout their lives. Throughout their studies, students will be provided with opportunities to develop their organisational, fine motor, problem solving, design and applied literacy and numeracy skills. The practical nature of the TAS subjects allows students to work through a design and making process that provides insights into potential post school career pathways.

Courses Offered:

Students have the opportunity to engage in a range of extra-curricular activities including;

  • Excursions to:
    • National Maritime Museum and Powerhouse Museum
    • Taylor Made Fish Farm – Bobs Farm (Industry Study)
  • Workshops involving Robotics, Unity Game creation, Claymation/Stop Motion
  • Organising and preparing Healthy Food options for the school canteen
