Julie Mcloughlin

Careers Advisor

For many students choosing subjects can be daunting enough without choosing career pathways at present. It is important however that students recognise the importance of course selection in helping to determine their future outcomes.

Statistically around half the College students receive an offer from University. The remainder undertake the many other different pathways on offer.

The Careers Coordinators are here to help with sorting through the prolific amount of information that is available.

The Careers office can help with:

  • Applications for traineeships and apprenticeships
  • All facets of TAFE information
  • Students undertaking School Based Traineeships
  • Decisions around TVET choices
  • Extra support for those students who access the Mackillop centre and EALD at SFX.
  • Covering all aspects of University entry, including: the application process, expectations, EAS, Early Entry, Scholarships.
  • All aspects of applying for positions both casual and full time.
  • Subject selection for senior courses.

The Careers Office is opened everyday- all day, as both positions have NON teaching allocations.
